Moving to Doodali

Moving from ActiveCampaign to Doodali

ActiveCampaign exports contacts as a CSV. Clients go into Doodali’s clients; your mailing list goes into Newsletters.

Updated 30 September 2026

1. Export from ActiveCampaign

  1. In ActiveCampaign, go to Contacts, show all contacts, and choose Export.
  2. Pick the fields (including organisation) and export as CSV.

2. Import into Doodali

  1. In Doodali, open the business you’re bringing across, then go to Settings → Import and export and press Import clients from a CSV (or press Import on the Clients page).
  2. Choose the file. Doodali reads the column headings and matches them for you: company name, email, phone, address, VAT number, notes, and the contact’s name, email, phone and job title.
  3. Check the matches. Anything Doodali couldn’t match is set to “Skip”: choose a field for it, or leave it out.
  4. Press Import. Each row becomes a client with its main contact. More people at a company that’s already there are added as its contacts, and clients already in Doodali are skipped, so you can import again safely.

Tips for ActiveCampaign

  • For your email list, import the same file in Newsletters → Mailing list instead: it keeps who agreed to hear from you.
